Vintage quilted Hearts

I have been working on embellishing these old quilted hearts.... thought I would share them with you. I love that they are old and worn in places...... enjoying the simple act of stitching...getting lost in the moment.

I had a very old worn quilt which I ended up giving away because it was too worn to use... now I am wishing I had kept it because all these neat projects are now coming to mind. Hate that!

Jenn ~ thank you so much for your kindness.
These aged quilt hearts are so lovely and I understand how theraputic they must be to sew and so thoroughly enjoyable to make! As for the loss of the old quilt, ughh, I know what you mean, so annoying that we keep these items for an age...give them away and then suddenly they have a use! Still, we can't keep everything, can we?????

Those are absolutely beautiful!!
Don't you hate when you can't see somethings potential till it's too late.
Oh well, live and learn.
Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh, I was hoping you were going to post about these when I saw the one on the ledger post.
They are absolutely wonderful!!!

And the slippers you asked about, they are little girl slippers I found in an antique store.

I just LOVE those!I too have had moments of regretting that I threw something away that I could have used- but I hate keeping everything... BTW, what part of Canada are you from?

These hearts are so cozy and lovely. That blue button is so intricate and it makes me want to rub my fingers across it! That sounds weird, but you know what I mean.
