This week's topic for Show and Tell Sunday is your favorite flea market find. Thank you to Heidi http://hkwdesign.blogspot.com/2008/06/show-tell-sunday.html for hosting! I just love flea markets so I have a "few" things that I have found which are near and dear to me.
This very old print of a Botticelli painting is a favorite because it speaks to me. Perhaps because I am a mother, or my love for babies, I don't know, it just does and I am glad that I can look at it every single day.....
Right now I am also loving old laces, trims, buttons, and other notions, which I use in my scrapbooks and art journals.... Here is my big glass jar which holds them for me. I love to look at them as much as I love to use them......
And finally.... this old vintage photograph of a professor and his students? I don't really know for sure who they are or why they came together - I just know that it makes me smile.

The Botticelli print is my favorite, too. It's glorious!
This is my first time to your blog. I will be back!
I have a couple little lace vingettes too that I'm just really drawn to. It really is the little things, isn't it?! Blessings.. Polly
Love your lace! And of course your mother-and-child-picture, I've something similar, and I thought the same as you, do I love it because I'm a mother too???
What lovely finds! I'm so glad you have taken in the professor and his students! I feel so sorry when old photos have become separated from those that know them...but, it's always good when they find a new "family" to care for them! I'm glad they are making you smile!!
I just found your blog from Miss Rhea's and love the picture of your baby! She is a cutie for sure. I like the lace and spool of thread the best. Just brings up fond memories of past things. Come over and visit with me!! I also cried at the post "I Miss You"!! Very poignant, my sweetpea!
Smoochie and hugs,
Connie
the glass jar is a perfect display for your old trims, what a great way to see and enjoy them all.
What a lovely print, love the old timey photographs like you have, too. The old spools & lace is beautiful.
